Configure BlockVision's RPC Node on Boba
Follow this guide and we will show you how to use BlockVision’s ultra fast node to interact with Boba Mainnet and Testnet.
The default node for Boba set in your Web 3.0 wallet can be too congested, cause slow transactions, extra high Gas fees and even connection issues.
Want to be informed directly to your Discord, Telegram or Slack instantly when a transaction you sent is verified or dropped?
Want to be able to see all your event history?
Want to use an ultra fast-node, with high-availability and lightning fast response times?
Follow this guide and we will show you how to use BlockVision’s ultra fast node to interact with Boba Mainnet and Rinkeby.
We will use MetaMask for demonstration purposes here.
1.
Go to
https://blockvision.org/
and click [Dashboard].
2. Log in with your wallet or Email. If you haven’t signed up yet, follow this tutorial to get your free BlockVision account!

3. Go to [App], fill out Name, Description, select Boba and Mainnet or Testnet. We will use the Rinkeby Testnet for demonstration here. Hit [Confirm].
4. Click [View API Key] and copy the API key in HTTPS format to your clipboard.
5. Open your MetaMask Extension wallet, select [Add Network].

7. You can't edit the default Boba network in MetaMask so we need a new one, click [Add a network], and fill out the following information.
Network Name:
Boba Mainnet BV (or Boba Testnet BV)
New RPC URL: Your API key
Chain ID: 288 (use 28 for Rinkeby Testnet)
Symbol: 1
Block Explorer URL:
https://blockexplorer.boba.network/
(use
https://blockexplorer.rinkeby.boba.network/
for Rinkeby)
Then hit the [Save] button.
(
note you may get a warning that the Chain ID is already in use but it's fine to ignore
)
Now you have successfully switched to BlockVision’s ultra-fast node on Boba Mainnet.
It's time to go to
https://dashboard.blockvision.org/app
to create your first App (
tutorial
) and use BlockVision's wide range of toolkits (
tutorial
).
